This Weekend in The Ridge – April 25 & 26

Can you believe it's already the last weekend of April?  Not only that but it's my last weekend in the 20s!  EEK!

Here's a round up of the happenings around Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows for April 25th and 26th.  We hope you find something enjoyable to do with your family!

 

SATURDAY, APRIL 25, 2015

Timberline Ranch Family Festival - 10am to 4pm
This event is always insanely popular so you may want to purchase tickets ahead of time!  It'll also save you some money if you do it that way.  Activities include a western show, pony rides, petting zoo, archery, hay rides, challenge course, climbing wall, marshmallow roasting, face painting and more!  Cost is $4 per person or a maximum of $15 per family if tickets are purchased in advance.

Westminster Savings Free Swim - 2 to 3:30pm 
Bring the family for a FREE swim at the Maple Ridge Leisure Centre!  Thanks, Westminster Savings!

Kids Club - Mother's Day Cards - 10am to noon, starting every 30 mins
Michaels at Meadowtown Centre provides a half hour crafting session for kids ages 3+.  The cost is $2 and includes all supplies necessary to complete the themed craft.

Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore - starts at 11am
Cineplex theatres offer a "Family Favourites" showing every Saturday morning at 11am.  The cost is $2.99 per person.

Family Yoga - 11am to 11:45am
Join Alison at Osprey Yoga!  Toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged kids and kids of all ages are taught yoga in a fun, interactive way. Families can feel comfortable bringing up to two children per adult to experience the playful side of yoga.  Cost is $12.50 per adult (includes 2 kids per adult).

 

SUNDAY, APRIL 26, 2015

Model Railway Open House - 1 to 4pm
All aboard!!!  Come and discover the world of model railroading and diorama building from the experts. Its a great family outing that appeals to all ages and it's free!

Museum Sundays at Pitt Meadows Museum - 2 to 4pm
This Sunday: everyone's favorite program: Soap Making! Bring your favorite edible tea, herb or essential oil and a toonie to cover the costs! See you at 2!
